Who is Heidrum ?
We're a group of acoustic musicians from Montrose and surrounding areas on the North East coast of Scotland . We met in our local pub, The Black Abbot, and got talking about “the music and the craic” one night. We decided to have a session or two in the pub and the rest is history, we've been jammin' or playing gigs at every opportunity since ....

What are we all about ?
From celtic, folk, trad & bluegrass numbers to jigs, reels & ballads, as well as some modern covers, we play anything that lends itself to acoustic music. Some polished three part harmonies add to the diversity of instruments that we play to give a good all round sound to our music. Between us we play guitars, bass, fiddle, bodhran, bouzouki, banjo, accordion, djembe, pipes and just about anything else that we can get our hands on ....

Where do we play ?
We tend to get together for music sessions whenever & wherever we can, from camping trips to festivals, from sessions & gigs in pubs, clubs & bars to barbecues & parties, you’ll find us pickin’ away somewhere. We can often be found playing sessions or gigs in some of the local venues in Montrose and surrounding areas but we also travel much further afield. Some of our most memorable gigs and sessions have been in places like Ullapool, Kingussie, Glencoe & Kenmore. We're up for playing sessions or gigs pretty much anywhere ....
